Aluminium beverage can recycling in 2021 at a new record level of 76%
The latest report by Metal Packaging Europe and European Aluminium shows that the Aluminium beverage can recycling achieved a new record level of 570,000 tonnes, saving 4,7 million tonnes CO2eq.

Chemetall celebrates opening of new Global Aluminum Competence Center
The Surface Treatment global business unit of BASF’s Coatings division, operating under the Chemetall brand, celebrated the opening of its new Global Aluminum Competence Center in Giussano, Italy today. The state-of-the-art facility will strengthen Chemetall’s position as a global supplier of solutions for the surface treatment of aluminium.

ABB secures order to support sustainable manufacturing growth at US aluminium alloys mill
ABB has won an order from aluminium furnace builder GNA alutech, an Ebner® Group member. Four electromagnetic stirrers (AL-EMS) will contribute to a major expansion for a U.S. aluminium manufacturer.

New recycling exhibit opens at Xplore! Science Discovery Centre
A new immersive exhibit about recycling has opened at Xplore! Science Discovery Centre, the home of science in North Wales. The ‘Infinity Room’ installation, created by recycling not-for-profit Every Can Counts, marks a new experience for visitors to Xplore! Science Discovery Centre and is free to access for members of the public.

Every Can Counts Now in UAE: Paving the Way to Full Aluminium Can Recycling
Every Can Counts has announced it has officially launched in the United Arab Emirates. Introduced at COP28 in Dubai, this chapter is supported by Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA) and aluminium can-makers Crown and Canpack, aiming to help boost the country’s recycling rates from just one-third to 100%.
