With all eyes on the sustainability of aluminium, the most read stories on the Aluminium International Today website reflect on the global focus to tackle the climate crisis.

Holding both first and second place, the most read news stories from 2021 were Hydro focused updates. Recording the economic business changes the Norwegian company underwent, the most read story was “Hydro's Rolling business becomes a standalone company under KPS ownership. The name of the new company is Speira.” Its increase in ‘green’ aluminium production came in close behind.

RUSAL also held two places in the top 10, as well as stories from Emirates Global Aluminium.

The aluminium industry’s global focus was also highlighted at the COP26 conference, which was held between October/November 2021.
