Vedanta Aluminium has launched the ‘#GreenHearts’ campaign to coincide with World Environment Day, and as part of Van Mahotsav week, with a secondary purpose of acknowledging the effects of COVID-19.

Van Mahotsav is an annual tree-planting festival used to spread awareness of forest conservation and the environment. The initiative, released under the Vedanta Cares Green Cover project, has a two objectives – to unite people in bettering the future post pandemic and to encourage people to plant saplings in solidarity with COVID warriors and in the memory of those who lost the fight to COVID.

Mr. Rahul Sharma, CEO – Aluminium Business, Vedanta Ltd., said,

“The global pandemic has affected all of us. Thousands of people are still battling the pandemic and its many consequences, as COVID warriors continue to work tirelessly to keep everyone safe.”
