It is hoped that the transition process from Roxboro to Ashville and Lewisport will be completed by May 2013.
The Roxboro facility in North Carolina operates two slitter and two coating lines and produces finished, painted sheet for various applications in the building and construction industries.
Typical products include coated trim coil, screen frames, muntin bars, sign stock and downspout and gutter coil.
In 2007, the plant won an Aleris CEO Excellence Award.
