The new plant ensures low operating costs. The electrically heated continuous furnace consumes only 210kWh/t of aluminum, distinctly less than conventional gas furnaces.

ASAS will benefit from low maintenance costs and short downtimes, ensuring high productivity of the extrusion presses used.

The scope of supply includes a helical ultrasonic inspection station, homogenizing facility, cooling system and turbo cooler as well as a sawing and packing station.

The design production is 80kt/y and commissioning is scheduled for early 2012.
