Headquartered in Baoding, Hebei Province the group owns 10 subsidiaries, including six wheel producers on the Chinese mainland.
It is working on an expansion project designed to produce 1.6M units of aluminium wheels a year. In the future, it will construct two more projects, with one designed to produce 2.3M units of wheels and the other, 4M units.
It also plans to expand its aluminium alloy capacity to 760kt/y by 2015, up from the current 450kt/y.
Lizhong sells roughly 70% of its products on the domestic market, with the rest exported to overseas markets including Europe, North America, the Middle East, Japan, South Korea and Southeast Asia.
