Dear Reader,

Alusolutions 2013, the Global Forum on Sustainability in the Aluminium Industry, is the definitive event for industry executives.

Massive strides have been made by the industry in reducing its carbon footprint. But more needs to be done in order to meet national and international legislation aimed at decreasing CO2 emissions even further.

The Alusolutions 2013 conference will focus on environmental issues within the aluminium industry. The challenges facing smelters to reduce their emissions and ways of finding a ‘green’ solution to aluminium making will be discussed.

Will established technology solve the problem or should there be more focus on new technology, such as hydropower? There will also be sessions on secondary aluminium making and the role of recycling.

The Aluminium International Today-organised event provides an opportunity to discuss common problems in smelting operations and explore the latest developments and solutions.

The event in Montreal, Canada includes an exhibition for companies to exhibit their latest literature in front of key industry players. It takes place between April 30 and May 2, 2013.

Alusolutions 2013 will allow participants to learn about new developments, meet colleagues in the field and discuss solutions to common problems.
