Registration for the International Committee for the Study of Bauxite, Alumina, and Aluminium (ICSOBA)’s annual conference is now open.
The 44th International Conference and Exhibition will be held from 15 to 20 November 2026 in Bengaluru, Karnataka state, India.
It will take place in the Leela Bhartiya City, Bengaluru Hotel, on Thanisandra Main Road.
The event marks the fourth time that ICSOBA will take place in India.
The event will address the critical challenges facing the aluminium industry across the value chain, from bauxite mining to smelter casting operations.
The conference will focus on key topics including sustainability and decarbonisation, energy challenges, digitalisation and artificial intelligence, innovation and new technologies, and speciality and high purity alumina.
Nine keynote papers will be presented in three keynote sessions at the conference, as well as over 160 technical papers.
Presentations will be shown and delivered in English.

The latest technologies, equipment, and solutions for the aluminium industry will also be showcased during the conference.
There will be 35 exhibitor booths.
Registration and a welcome reception will take place on Sunday 15 November.
The ICSOBA conference will run from Monday 16 to Thursday 19 September, followed by a day of technical field trips to an alumina refinery and an aluminium smelter.
Participants can visit the Belagavi Alumina refinery in Karnataka on a one day return trip, or Aditya Aluminium Smelter in Lapanga, Sambalpur, Odisha, for a two day return trip.
A draft programme for the event will be published on 1 September.
