It has activities in Norway, Finland and Denmark and has 20 employees at production sites in Norway and Denmark, and a sales office in Finland.
In 2009, Hydro Trans delivered 650t of aluminium-based systems. The company said it had struggled to achieve profitability, especially as demand had declined due to the economic downturn.
It is being sold to Norwegian investment group SKA Invest which has previously bought Hydro businesses Hydal and Extrusions Tools. The deal was set to be completed on 1 March.
