Hammerer Aluminium Industries (HAI) has achieved certification to the ASI standard for HAI Extrusion Germany at the Soest site. This means that all three extrusion plants of the HAI Group are now certified.
COO Markus Schober commented: ‘The HAI Group uses resources and investments specifically for the sustainable design of our business processes along the entire value chain. This also includes elaborate but extremely meaningful certifications such as the ASI Performance Standard. We demonstrably work according to the highest industry standards in our two casting plants and three extrusion plants, which enables us to produce sustainable aluminium products for a better future.’
TÜV Rheinland audited criteria for sustainability
The independent audit at HAI Extrusion Germany was carried out by TÜV Rheinland Cert GmbH. The extrusion plant in Soest was checked for fulfilment of the criteria. External auditors determined whether all certification criteria within the sustainability pillars ‘Corporate Governance’, ‘Environment’ and ‘Social Affairs’ were fulfilled.
The HAI Group is proud that, in addition to the two foundries, all three extrusion plants (Ranshofen, Cris and Soest) are now certified to one of the strictest sustainability standards in the industry.
