Global primary aluminium production increased by 2.29% in March 2025.
The latest International Aluminium Institute (IAI) figures state production was estimated at 6,227 (kt) at a daily rate of 200.9.
While that is up compared to the same period last year, average daily production slipped slightly by 0.59% compared to February 2025.
It stated: estimated Chinese production was 3,729 (kt);
Africa production was 138 (kt);
North American production was 338 (kt);
South American production was 131 (kt);
Asia (ex China) production was 415 (kt);
Europe (inc Russia) production was 594 (kt);
Oceania production was 158 (kt);
GCC (Gulf) production was 523 (kt).
