The Aluminum Association and the Aluminum Extruders Council (AEC) have announced the General Session speakers for the 2011 Spring Meeting.
The organisations will co-locate their respective meetings at the Sanibel Harbour Marriott Resort & Spa on April 7-9, 2011.
Former Florida Governor Jeb Bush will deliver the keynote speech to the conference at the General Session on Saturday, April 9.
Also scheduled to address joint sessions of the conference are Hydro Aluminum North America President Matt Dionne; former Member of Congress and Deloitte partner Tom Davis; aluminum industry analyst Lloyd O’Carroll; and University of Georgia Economics Professor Parks Dodd.
“Former Governor Jeb Bush heads an outstanding programme sure to give our members insight into policymaker thinking, member company views, and industry trends,” said Steve Demetriou, Chairman & CEO, Aleris International Inc, and Aluminum Association Chairman.
Jeb Bush served as the 43rd Governor of Florida from 1999 to 2007. He made Florida political history by becoming the first Republican Governor to ever win re-election.
Since leaving office, he has formed and currently heads his own consulting business—Jeb Bush and Associates—where his clients range from small technology start-ups to well-known Fortune 500 companies.
He is also the chairman of the Foundation for Excellence in Education, a national foundation focused on education reform.
