Tolga Egrilmezer, executive vice president responsible for strategy and business development, has decided to leave Sapa.
He will stay on until October 31, at the latest, to ensure a good transfer of knowledge to the organisation.
"Leaving Sapa was a difficult decision to make. I have been a part of a unique journey for more than 14 years. After a successful integration (with Hydro Extruded Products), Sapa is entering a new phase in its development and I felt that this was a natural time for me to make a change, allowing me to spend more time with my family back in the UK," says Egrilmezer.
"I regret seeing Tolga leave,” says President & CEO Egil Hogna. “He has contributed strongly to realising our NOK 1 billion synergy target ahead of plan and in establishing innovation as a key competitive advantage for Sapa."
Egrilmezer joined Sapa in 2002 and held various commercial and line management positions before becoming a member of the executive management team in 2012 as responsible for business development. This also included strategy, research and development, operational excellence, sourcing and global key accounts.
Sapa has initiated a process to find Egrilmezer’s successor, who will be responsible for creating a group strategy team in addition to ensuring that innovation is a key driver across Sapa’s business areas going forward.
