CANPACK to invest in second beverage can plant in Colombia

CANPACK Columbia has been part of the group since 2018.

CANPACK Group will invest around $140m into its second major beverage can project in Columbia.

The facility will have the installed capacity of approximately one billion aluminium can bodies per year and it is set to create around 160 jobs.

CEO of CANPACK, Marius Croitoru, said: “We are dedicated to the Colombian packaging industry and have been strengthening our presence in this dynamic market since opening CANPACK’s first aluminum beverage can plant in Tocancipá back in 2019.

“We believe this new investment will give us better position to serve the increasing market demand for beverage cans not only in Colombia but also in the neighbouring countries.”

CANPACK Columbia has been part of the group since 2018.

Croitoru concluded: “With this investment, CANPACK reaffirms its commitment to innovation, sustainability and regional economic development, projecting a positive impact on the industry, consumers and the local labor market.”
