The aluminium industry supports calls to place the European Green Deal at the centre of any reconstruction package.
It also calls on Europe to use the plan to reinforce its strategic autonomy in global value chains, preserve existing industrial assets and restore the production in Europe instead of relying on carbon-intensive imports from China and other regions.
