Its 42t EAF has been equipped with the solid material injection technology from Italian company More.

It supplied a pressure vessel to manage the aluminium fines requirements and the installation of a Hi_Jet injector on the left side of the slag door with a maximum flow rate of 100kg/min. The injector has a central injection pipe covered by a supersonic oxygen stream that accelerates the injected material up to sonic velocity, this technique allows penetration of the solid material through the slag into the steel bath.

The aluminium injection reduces the chromium oxide from the slag during production. The result is a higher chrome recovery from the slag than from ferro-silicon practice.
