The new $US7M plant, which opens in September, adjoins the company’s existing facilities at O Porrino and will contain some of the most advanced technologies on the market, including an automated metal classification line.

According to Alumisel, the new facility will increase the company’s production capacity by 70% and enhance the service it provides through state-of-the-art equipment.

Manuel Nogueira, general director of Alumisel, said the new plant represented a strategic investment for the company that will allow it to enter new niche markets and offer ready-to-use products directly to the end user.

He said that new and innovative technology will enable the business to improve its offer and position the business ‘in the vanguard of the sector’.
