The right time in the right market for the right show: ALUMINUM USA, which celebrated its premiere at the Cobo Convention Center in Detroit from November 11-12, 2015, was a success with good prospects for the future.
More than 170 exhibitors from 20 countries showcased lightweight manufacturing solutions. Besides key US players, numerous companies from Canada, Europe and Asia attended at ALUMINUM USA – from suppliers of raw material, semi-finished and finished to producers of machinery, plant and equipment for aluminium processing and manufacturing.
More than 900 visitors from the aluminium industry as well as the automotive, transport, building and packaging industries, came to the first edition.
“The ALUMINUM USA trade show was a great opportunity to showcase the strength of our industry and our member companies,” says Heidi Brock, CEO and President of the Aluminum Association, the US industry’s trade group and partner of ALUMINUM USA. “Demand for aluminium in North America is approaching record levels last seen in the mid-2000s, while companies have committed domestic capital investments of more than $2.5 billion over the next decade to capture anticipated demand growth in the automotive transportation sector.”
“It was a really successful premiere with good prospects”, says Michael Koehler, Industry Vice President of organiser Reed Exhibitions: “Together with the industry and the Aluminum Association, we want to continue to develop this future-oriented trade fair; the interest and trust shown by the exhibitors in embarking on this course together with us, strengthen our decision.”
ALUMINUM USA is the sixth event of the global series of ALUMINUM trade fairs by Reed Exhibitions in Germany, China, India, the United Arab Emirates and Brazil.
The next ALUMINUM USA will take place in 2017.
