With nearly 40 years in the aluminium manufacturing business, Crowdis served in various technical, operations, marketing, sales and management positions, helping strengthen the industry to where it is today. Alexandria Industries provides high-quality, engineered products using aluminium extrusion, precise machining of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, and plastic injection and foam moulding, among other manufacturing technologies, for a wide range of OEMs.

Most recently serving as president and general manager for Bonnell Aluminum, Crowdis provided senior-level support and operations management during the company’s evolution over the past 15 years. His leadership involved managing the sale of Bonnell’s Canadian operations, completing a number of strategic investments, including a key acquisition, and helping the team navigate the company successfully through the deepest building and construction recession since the Great Depression.
Crowdis’ experience also included roles with growing responsibilities from supervisor to metal and business planning officer while working for Alcan Aluminum Ltd and Exal Aluminum. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering from Dalhousie University (Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada).
