Alcoa Australia has appointed a construction group AGC Industries to carry out services work at its Wagerup alumina refinery, Western Australia.

The five year contract covers mechanical, electrical and scaffolding services. The contract is worth more than $50M and is in addition to the Maintenance Services Contract AGC secured in 2007 for Alcoa’s other alumina refineries in Western Australia.

The refinery has been a part of the Western Australian community since operations began in 1984.
