Aluminium Bahrain (Alba) has announced the appointment of Ahmed Mazen Matar as its new manager of training, effective 30 October 2025.

Matar, a Bahraini National, will oversee the design and training programmes across Alba’s operations.

On his appointment, Matar said: “It is an honour to join Alba, a company that has long been a pillar of national development.

“I look forward to advancing Alba’s training vision by fostering a culture of continuous learning and capability building that supports our people’s growth and drives operational excellence across all levels.”

Matar has over 10 years of experience in training and development, serving in leadership positions at major organisations in Bahrain.

He holds a BA in Management and Marketing from Ahlia University Bahrain, and has completed international programmes at Cardiff University and the University of Houston.
