The previous attempt used 35,759 cans and was built in Takaichigun, Nara, Japan, on 1 September 2012.
Emal trainees are responsible for the latest record-breaking can sculpture, which is a scale model of Abu Dhabi’s 200-year-old Al Maqta’a Fort.
It measures 5.67 metres in height and 3.99 metres in width.
