Due to the current global situation and a number of industry events being postponed, this issue is being distributed digitally, in order to reach as many contacts as possible, who maybe be working from home and not able to read the regular office copy.

All areas of the aluminium supply chain have been affected during this time, but it seems that sustainability and green aluminium products are still high on the agenda.

To keep the sector connected, I have been hosting a weekly 'Aluminium: ON AIR Podcast' and one of our special guests was Jerome Lucaes, Marketing and Sustainability Director at RUSAL. During this interview, Jerome commented: "Sustainability is vital for any company that wants to strive; it is not a fashionable trend, it needs to be the norm.”

We also discussed how RUSAL is leading the sector with its green energy transition projects, and Jerome informed listeners that this has continued despite Covid-19. The pandemic has provided challenges but also opportunities and RUSAL has smoothly adapted and continues to thrive.

Hopefully these thoughts and feelings are echoed across the sector and as we begin to recover, we will continue to work towards a more sustainable supply chain.

I hope you enjoy the issue.
