EnPot is a technology company helping the world to achieve net zero emissions sooner by reducing aluminium’s carbon footprint. EnPot enabled aluminium smelters can operate like a virtual battery to support more renewable energy in the electricity grid. Modern aluminium smelters enabled with EnPot modulation technology become flexible energy consumers - reducing electricity costs to both the smelter and the power system.

EnPot has been operating on a commercial scale at TRIMET’S Essen smelter in Germany since May 2019.
