Al Mazrooei was joined on the potline by Saeed Ghumran Al Romaithi, CEO of Emirates Steel, and Yousuf Bastaki, EMAL's vice president – projects.

Al Romaithi said that Emirates Steel was very honoured to have contributed to Emal's Phase ll expansion. "The steel structures we have provided were specifically designed for EMAL to meet their exact needs," he said.

Emal's Yousuf Bastaki said, "To deliver the sub-structure for the new potline ahead of schedule and without a single LTI is testament to the skill and commitment of everyone involved in delivering this major industrial project.”
