The annual programme is organised to emphasise SA’s role as a responsible corporate citizen in the community.
The programme has been designed to integrate education with the workplace experience.
Students majoring in various disciplines ranging from engineering, human resources, business administration, management, IT and finance were selected based on their field of study and academic achievements.
Participating institutions include the Sultan Qaboos University, College of Applied Sciences in Sohar, Ibri and Rustaq, Sohar University, Shinas College of Technology, Caledonian College of Engineering, Higher College of Technology Muscat, Ibra College of Technology, International College of Engineering and the Waljat College of Applied Sciences.
Through the summer training programme and structured competency development programme, SA has enhanced its Omanisation initiative to the current level. The company endeavours to retain, train and develop Omanis in order to operate, maintain, supervise and then manage the plant providing continuous development for its young employees.
The programme will run until August 30 and will conclude with a passing out ceremony to be held the next day.
