Aluminium industry increases focus on branding and communication.

“As the world largest aluminium extrusion-based solutions company in the world, counting 100 production sites in more than 40 countries, and with 23,500 employees, we are a relatively unknown company.

However we increasingly see the importance of building our brand and using communication as a driver for growth”, explains EVP Communication Erika Ahlqvist.

I am therefore pleased to be able to strengthen our communication department with the appointment of Hilde Haugen Kallevig with her strong communication background and international experience.

Hilde Haugen Kallevig is appointed VP of External Communication for Sapa Group based in Oslo and will be responsible for all external communication going forward. Hilde comes from Hill+Knowlton Strategies where she worked as Account Director working within the Corporate Communications division and responsible for the agency’s employer branding practice.

Hilde has 15 years experience working in the communications industry and has previously worked for Burson- Marsteller’s London and Tokyo offices with a focus on corporate communication and employer branding. On the team Erika Ahlqvist also gets Susanne Rothstein who gets the full responsibility for the company’s CSR, branding and internal communication. Susanne has worked for the company since 2008, where she started as a business controller and has since then held several senior positions within the company.

“I am delighted to join Sapa and this industry. With its truly global footprint, and a product that is fully recyclable I proud to be a part of such a company and representing this industry, explains Kallevig. I look forward to work with the team to increase the awareness and knowledge of Sapa’s innovation, products, people and processes as a part of a truly international team.”
