In his presentation, Johansen predicted a rise in demand for aluminium in the Gulf region due to massive infrastructural development in the GCC states.
Speaking to an audience of experts in the field, Johansen said there has never been a more exciting time to be involved in the aluminium industry. "...and there is nowhere more exciting to be than here in Qatar," he added, explaining how the opportunities for growth, diversification and innovation 'have barely scratched the surface'.
The event took place at the Qatar Science & Technology Park (QSTP) in Qatar. The QSTP consists of small companies, international corporations and research organisations that, among other things, is engaged in new product development aligned with Qatar's National Vision 2030.
