Seven more of Hydro’s aluminium extrusion operations in Europe have achieved certification according to the ASI Performance Standard, which recognises the responsible production, sourcing and stewardship of aluminium.

The Aluminium Stewardship Initiative (ASI) has just certified Hydro’s extrusion operations in:

Ghlin, Belgium (remelter)
Raeren, Belgium
Atessa, Italy
Feltre, Italy (including remelter)
Ornago, Italy
Drunen, Netherlands (including remelter and Pole Products)
Harderwijk, Netherlands

“This is an important accomplishment by our extrusion team in Europe, and very good news for their customers, who want sustainable materials from companies that do business the right way,” says executive vice president Egil Hogna, who leads Hydro’s Extruded Solutions business area.

“We have directed all our operations toward ASI certification, because doing business the right way is what our company is about.”

With the latest group of certifications, Hydro now has 15 aluminium extrusion and fabrication facilities certified according to the ASI Performance Standard. The others:

Nenzing, Austria
Lichtervelde, Belgium (extrusion)
Lichtervelde, Belgium (aluminium tubing)
Toulouse, France
Bellenberg, Germany
Rackwitz, Germany
Uphusen, Germany
Oslo, Norway (Extruded Solutions corporate office)
