The new line, which is designed for an annual capacity of 15kt, will be erected alongside the old line and is the first of its kind to process aluminium strips with a width of up to 2,000mm and thicknesses of 3.5mm.
The line incorporates an electrolytic colour bath, which has been jointly developed by SMS and Coil.
The new line goes on stream in mid-2013.
