Automotive Aluminum Advisors have announced the addition of three globally recognised aluminium industry technology experts to its team, assembling one of the most experienced advanced aluminium technology and engineering consulting teams in the world.
These additions solidify the company’s position as an industry leading consultant group within three focus areas of automotive supplier business development, aluminium technology & engineering, and advanced research and development.
Daniel Bryant is a former Technical Fellow at the Alcoa Technical Center who has led the development of new aluminium alloys, particularly in automotive. His proven track record of leading the development and introduction of new aluminium sheet, extrusion and foundry alloys for automotive applications is unparalleled.
James Burg is a leading expert in lightweight product and process design. The former Chief Design Engineer at Alcoa, Mr. Burg has designed, developed and qualified a multitude of next generation lightweight structures and products working with Alcoa’s many world-wide business units and customers.
Glenn Jarvis brings more than 30 years of leadership in metals manufacturing and stamping processes to the team. He has extensive experience supporting and training automotive and transportation customers and served as prototype build manager for several all-aluminium lightweight vehicle chassis. He brings expertise from both Alcoa and GM.

According to Ducker Worldwide, aluminium is the fastest growing automotive material and is expected to account for 51% of vehicle mass reduction by 2028 in combination with steel and other metals. Aluminium growth is expected to exceed 500 pounds per vehicle by 2028 as the industry shifts to multi-material solutions, with closures and Body in White (BIW) as the highest growth applications.
The additions of Bryant, Burg and Jarvis complement an already strong team including: Israel Stol, an American Welding Society Fellow with more than 35 years of experience in the advancement of various fusion and solid-state joining technologies; and David Williams, a recognised federal research and development subject matter expert with extensive networks into the Department of Defense and civilian agencies.
