Dubal is a lead sponsor of the event and, in addition to having an exhibition stand will also host a roundtable discussion focusing on the company's specific energy-efficiency achievements (some of which you can read about in Aluminium International Today's November/December 2012 edition).
Abdulla Kalban, president and CEO of Dubal, said that his company's sponsorship of the World Energy Forum reflects the depth of Dubal's commitment to finding sustainable energy solutions for Dubai and the world.
Dubal is a member of the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy and an active proponent of the Dubai Integrated Energy Strategy 2030.
According to Kalban, Dubal's captive power plant continually strives for optimal energy efficiency. Because of the plant's co-generational and combined cycle configuration, roughly 36.8% of hte power generated is fuel-free. In fact, energy consumption at the plant declined to 14.71kWh/kg aluminium in 2011, he claims.
