The smelter has a capacity of 250kt/y from five potlines. One of the potlines was idled due to lower aluminium prices and the cost structure of the plant.
Restarting the potline will increase production by 4370t/month. Century plans to add 100 positions through recall and hiring. The restart is expected to be completed during Q1 2011.
