Sohar Aluminium Company LLC (Sohar Aluminium) has achieved ASI Performance Standard V2 (2017) Certification with Provisional status for its Sohar Aluminium smelting and casthouse facility, located near Sohar, Oman. This is the first ASI Certification achieved in Oman.
Aluminium Stewardship Initiative (ASI) today announced that Sohar Aluminium has been certified against the ASI Performance Standard with Provisional status for its smelter and casthouse facility near Sohar, Oman. The company produces high-purity primary aluminium with an annual production capacity of over 390,000 tonnes in the form of ingots, sows and hot metal, which support a robust downstream aluminium industry in Oman.
