Alba's production figure for 2011 was 881.3kt - the highest level recorded and a substantial increase from the 850.7kt was produced in 2010.
Chief Executive, Laurent Schmitt said: “2011 was a challenging year for most industries in Bahrain, and yet, in 2011, Alba succeeded in achieving the highest metal production in the company's 40-year history.
"This achievement is significant because it was accomplished without incurring any additional expenditure and was due to the effective teamwork and active involvement of Alba's talented work force."
He added that Alba's introduction of Six-Sigma to strengthen quality initiatives and lean management techniques help Alba achieve the record.
